Civil War Reenactment Gown

For a wedding between two civil war reenactors I made this civil war era gown. It it based on an 1861-64 gown documented by Janet Arnold in her Patterns of Fashion book. Period techniques and natural materials were used as much as possible. The body of the gown is white silk taffeta. the trim is silk ribbon and English and French Val lace, and the veil is silk illusion.
